Old Grey Scaffold Wood is our vintage scaffold wood with a characterful, greyed appearance. These spruce boards are finely sawn and sourced from the Black Forest in Germany, a region known for its stable and uniform wood growth.
Upon arrival, the boards are treated in a special grey bath, giving them their typical weathered look. Thanks to this treatment with carefully selected color pigments and 3% Embalit P — a wood preservation agent approved in the European Union — the boards are better protected against damage from fungi and other threats.
Old Grey Scaffold Wood combines the look of used wood with the benefits of a controlled, uniform finish. This makes it an ideal choice for those seeking a consistent vintage look without the variation of truly used scaffold wood.
The boards are not equipped with tongue and groove or battens, providing flexibility during processing and assembly. Since the wood is freshly cut and not kiln-dried, it may shrink slightly after installation. We advise against using the wood in direct contact with soil or water.
The standard dimensions make it suitable for various applications such as furniture, wall cladding, and interior projects.
